WHIRLPOOL UK has confirmed there will be no job losses following the destruction of its warehouse in Paddock Wood.

Speaking after the blaze, marketing manager Ray Isted said: “We’re working to get back to business as usual and all the employees will remain in place.”

In a further statement, Whirlpool UK said a team was working to assess the damage at the site, and the company was looking to find alternative local distribution centres.

The statement added: “While we regret the damage to our property, we are pleased to report that there have been no injuries, as all personnel vacated the building quickly and responsibly.”
