Truck firm scoops another award

A KENT truck dealer has shifted up a gear to scoop its second top team award.

Haynes Trucks, the Iveco Ford Truck subsidiary of Maidstone-based Haynes Brothers, has been named Iveco National Service Team of the Year 2003.

Service manager Mike Baxter and his team flew to Aviemore in Scotland for a special presentation ceremony and activity day hosted by Iveco Ford.

This is the second award for a company only set up in 2000 following acquisition of branches at Ashford and Canterbury from the Summit Group.

Last year the firm, based in Ellingham Way, Ashford, won the Top Assistance Non-Stop Dealer of the Year for its "outstanding commitment to roadside assistance”.

Andrew Haynes, group managing director of Haynes Brothers, said: "Overall our group has now won over 27 National Awards across our various businesses.

"As we are now one of the largest truck and van dealers in the country, I am pleased that our new truck company can now also claim to be one of the best."
