A teenager from Bromley has developed quite an eye for taking a good picture by snapping up the top prize in a national competition.

Michael Battle, a pupil at St Olave’s Grammar School in Orpington, took a picture of a tree in his local park as an example of something he would like to see more of.

The 14-year-old entered his picture as part of the Academy for Sustainable Communities competition and his snap was voted among the top ten on website www.askwhatif.co.uk

He said: “My town is a concrete jungle and I wish we had more trees.”
