Police search for depressed man

POLICE are appealing to the public for information about a missing 49-year-old man.

Ian Taylor, of Gassons Road, Snodland, near Rochester, has not been seen by family or friends since he left work in Southwark at about 6am on Friday, July 30.

He is white, 5ft 9in, stocky, with short, balding, grey hair, a grey beard and brown eyes.

Police are concerned for his welfare as he is believed to have been depressed recently. It is believed Mr Taylor stayed at a campsite in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, between Sunday, August 1 and Thursday, 5.

He was driving his car, a dark green Ford Escort saloon, registration number M674 SKJ, and had a tent with him.
