Pensioner cleared of indecency

A PENSIONER has been cleared by a jury at Maidstone Crown Court of repeated indecent behaviour with a young boy.

George Foster, of Benenden Manor, Goudhurst Road, Gillingham, was alleged to have committed the offences about seven years ago when the boy was aged five or six.

Trevor Wright, prosecuting, said the child was not clear of dates when he claimed that 87-year-old Foster assaulted him but was clear about what happened.

After Mr Foster was arrested in October last year he denied any sexual contact with the boy.

Mr Foster was cleared of two indecent assaults by direction of Judge Warwick McKinnon and of a third indecent assault and charge of indecency with a child by the jury.
