THE Mayor of Maidstone's charity concert - Proms at the Priory - will feature the Kent Messenger Medway Concert Brass Band performing in the grounds of Aylesford Priory.

The concert is one of Cllr Morel D'Souza's first fundraising events for the Aylesford Priory Restoration Fund which he has picked as one of his two chosen charities during his year of office.

The recital takes place on Saturday, June 14, at the Friars, in Aylesford, from 6pm until 9pm. Music-lovers and their families are asked to bring their deckchairs and a picnic to help savour the atmosphere.

Tickets, £7 each for adults and £3.50 for children under 14, are available on 01622 602183.

Visitors are welcome as normal on the day, but access to the walled garden will be ticket only from 4.30pm.
