Motor misery after two crashes

Motorists are facing traffic chaos after two seperate crashes on a Kent road.

The first happened on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A249 at Detling at around 6.20am today.

The road was closed for about an hour and a half. Three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The second crash was also on the A249 on the Sittingbourne-bourne carriageway at Stockbury at about 7.10am today.

Five vehicles were involved.

Nobody was seriously injured but the police are warning motorists to expect delays.
