Medal-winning baton team is top of the twirls

AN AMAZING 63 medals and trophies have been won by the Medway Baton Twirlers.

It means every member of the team received a trophy after they took part in the United Kingdom Federation of Majorettes Kent Regional Competition.

Zena Yull, team trainer, said: "It is the most we have ever won in one competition. They all did so well. We are so pleased."

Members represented the group in team, trio, duo and individual events using the baton, two batons, pom-poms, flags, big silks and ribbons.

The Medway Baton Twirlers is open to those aged four to 15 years. The group practices at Greenacre School, Capstone Road, Walderslade, Chatham, every Saturday morning.
