Man treated after roof fire

A man has been treated for breathing in smoke following a fire at a property in Gravesend.

Two fire engines were called to St Hilders Way at 11.50am today after a small blaze started in the roof of the building.

The man – who is thought to be in his thirties – was given first aid by ambulance crews who were also called to the scene.

Firefighters used special thermal imaging equipment to check for any remaining hot spots.
