A 22-year-old man died in a crash at Laddingford, near Yalding, last night.

The accident happened as the car was travelling over a humped back bridge in Gravelly Ways at 9.35pm.

The man, who is believed to be local, was pronunced dead at the scene.

A 28-year-old passenger in the black Renault was taken to Kent and Sussex Hospital and treated for injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

No other vehicles were involved.

Kent Police are investigating.

• Delays were building up this morning following a crash on the M20 London-bound slip road at junction 7. Police and ambulance crews were on the scene just after 7am and at least one casualty was taken to hospital. Drivers approaching from the A249 southbound were experiencing hold-ups.
