HUNDREDS of employees faced long delays in getting to work today after a crash involving a motorbike and a lorry.

It happened on Sir Thomas Longley Road, Strood, the main artery for traffic on the Medway City Estate.

However, Friday the 13th proved lucky for the rider of the blue Suzuki sports bike involved in the crash. He escaped with only minor injuries.

The accident happened just after 7.30 am, one of the busiest times for traffic on the estate, which supports nearly 500 businesses.
