A series of images just released hope to paint a picture of Kent
as an idyllic haven for visitors.

The pictures, including Hever Castle, Botany Bay in Broadstairs,
and the Goods Shed in Canterbury, aim to promote the
county as a great place for holiday breaks.

World-renowned agency M&C Saatchi won a £400,000 contract - funded by Kent County Council and arranged by VisitKent - to design the revolutionary new campaign which includes new images for the Garden of England and slogans such as "Rediscover your Garden".

Two new images, shot by leading photographer Jean Luc Benard,
feature the Goods Shed, Canterbury - "Enjoying the Fruits of your
Garden" - and Botany Bay, Broadstairs, where two people are
engaging in Tai Chi - "Exercise in your Garden".

The Kent Contemporary campaign aims to transform the image and
perceptions of Kent, helping to woo more visitors and boost the
county's £2.5 billion tourism economy.

Scores of businesses and attractions are involved in the sector
which supports around 50,000 jobs.

The project also uses social media, website, press, London
posters and features local people speaking about the joys of Kent
and Medway.

The three-year campaign, revealed exclusively in the April issue
of Kent Business, was officially unveiled at Kent 2020 Vision
show.

Kevin Lynes, KCC Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic
Development, said: "Kent has a wealth of jewels to discover, from
beautiful scenery and castles to stunning countryside and
coastline, and there's also a tremendous amount to do once you're
here.

"It's great that so many people come to visit. Our challenge now
is to get people to stay longer.

"These stunning Kent Contemporary images will show our county in
a totally new and refreshing light."

Visit Kent chairman Amanda Cottrell added: "We're so excited
about this fresh approach to our marketing - and of course it's
more important than ever that we stay innovative and creative, and
keep ahead of the competition."
