Hopes for new food factory jobs

ABOUT 50 new jobs could be created if an extension is built at a food processing factory at Eythorne, near Dover.

The district council's planning committee will tomorrow (Thursday) night be studying the expansion proposals for the Geest plant on the former Tilmanstone Colliery site.

Objectors have already written to council officers complaining the bigger factory would create traffic problems in the area.
