Be bang on time for Guy Fawkes Night celebrations with this guide to where the fireworks are going off across Kent.

Central Park, Dartford

Charity sideshows and a Forrests fun fair will keep visitors entertained before the explosions light up the sky. All proceeds go to the Dartford Linos selected local and international charities.

When: Starts 5pm on Saturday, November 5. Bonfire at 7.15pm and fireworks at 8pm.

Crabble Athletic Ground, Dover

The home of Dover Athletic hosts its annual bonanza of big bangs and never fails to hit the back of the net with fans and non-fans alike.

When: Starts 5.30pm on Friday, November 4. Fireworks 7pm.

Deal & Betteshanger RFC

Brave firewalkers will raise money for the Martha Trust as they ramble over hot coals barefoot. There will be two bars with food and a children’s tuck shop.

When: Starts 6.30pm on Friday, November 4. Firewalking at 7.30pm and fireworks at 8pm.

Farriers Arms, Mersham, near Ashford

The best guy competition will be judged by kmfm DJ Webbo, with the best guys winning £100 for local organisations. A music tent hosts performances from Joe Hill and the Richard Dray Band. There will be mulled wine and a barbecue.

When: Starts 5.30pm on Saturday, November 5. Fireworks and bonfire from 7pm.

Cost: £8, children £5, under fives free, families £20. Anyone who takes along a guy gets free admission.

Larkfield Recreation Ground

There’s a traditional fun fair with rides and stalls and there will be a best guy competition held in the village hall at 7pm. The display has been running for more than 30 years at the site. Refreshments will be served in the village hall.

When: Starts 5pm on Saturday, November 5. Bonfire at 7.30pm. Fireworks shortly after.

There will be sparklers available and food will come from a barbecue. Refreshments will be on offer before the big display from a professional team.

The Coastguard, Dover

There is nothing like watching fireworks go off overlooking the sea and the English Channel will be lit up as the restaurant hosts its annual display. Don’t forget those sparklers and glow sticks.

Tyler Hill, near Canterbury

Bonfire Night has been celebrated at this site since 1973, with only two cancellations due to bad weather. As well as the giant bonfire there will be a children’s funfair and food stalls.

Whitstable Town Football Club

Things will go with a bang at Whitstable Town after a charity football match between Rotarians and the Whitstable Town Managers. There will be a penalty shoot out and then the display.
