Gillingham’s FA Cup tie with Accrington has been postponed for the second time.

The Lancashire side called an early pitch inspection to prevent the team and fans having a wasted journey.

Conditions in and around the Crown Ground at Accrington are still in a bad state following the recent snow and frost.

The tie has already been postponed once after heavy snowfall made it impossible to fulfil last Saturday’s fixture.

Gillingham were due to travel today (Monday) and train in the north ahead of the cup clash. The winners face Premier League side Fulham.

The match is now expected to take place on Tuesday, January 19.
