Gillingham youth paired with rivals Charlton Athletic in the FA Youth Cup

Gillingham’s under-18 side have been drawn to face rivals Charlton Athletic in the first round the FA Youth Cup.

Mark Patterson’s side will play the match at The Valley on Tuesday, November 3 with a 7pm kick-off.

The match will be resolved on the night, with extra-time and penalties if required. Tickets cost £3 for adults and £1 for concession and are available before kick-off at the ground.

Gillingham were knocked out at the third round stage last season after losing 2-1 to Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

Charlton went out at the fourth round stage last season, losing 3-0 to Tottenham. In the Charlton team that night was Rashid Yussuff, who this season signed professional terms with the Gills.

*The draw for the first round proper of the senior FA Cup will take place on Sunday afternoon, live on ITV, at 1pm.
