Fifth teen arrested over Maidstone stabbing

A fifth person has been arrested after a boy was stabbed in the legs in Shepway.

The 19-year-old man was arrested on Friday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has been released on bail pending further investigation until December 11.

The victim - a 15-year-old boy - spent five days in Maidstone Hospital after being stabbed in the upper thighs near Northumberland Road on Friday, November 20.

The four other teenagers arrested are all male, aged between 14 and 18 and from Shepway. They have all been bailed pending further enquiries.
