Ferrari driver seriously hurt in smash

The driver of a Ferrari was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving two cars outside a Kent golf club.

The smash happened at a notorious accident black spot on the A229 at the Weald of Kent Golf Club in Headcorn at around 8.45am Friday.

The injured man was taken to the Royal London Hospital by air ambulance.

The road was closed at the junction with the golf course to allow emergency vehicles access the scene.
