Margate were grateful to goalkeeper Jamie Turner for earning them a Monday night replay at Kingsmeadow after Saturday's FA Cup second qualifying round tie with Kingstonian ended in a 1-1 draw.

Turner produced two superb saves in the final 10 minutes, during which Kingstonian's Lee Hall also struck the crossbar, as Margate lived dangerously in the closing stages. Earlier the 'Gate had been rewarded for a postive start when James Pinnock gave them a 22nd-minute lead, but within a minute Kings' top scorer Billy Traynor equalised.

Folkestone Invicta also face a replay, in Suffolk on Tuesday night, after being held to a 1-1 draw by Eastern Counties League Premier Division side Leiston.

James Everitt gave Invicta a 19th-minute lead when he headed home a Josh Vincent cross, but Leiston levelled five minutes before the break through Danny Smy.

The nearest that either side went to scoring again in the second half came three minutes from the end when Frankie Chappell headed another Vincent cross against the woodwork.

Whitstable Town went out 1-0 to a late goal at Canvey Island, although the home side should have secured their place in the next round a lot earlier.

Canvey controlled most of the play but Whitstable defended stubbornly despite playing the last half hour with 10 men after Gareth Cornhill was dismissed following a second yellow card.
