Education chiefs seek 150 new teachers

EDUCATION chiefs are launched a recruitment drive for 150 new teachers.

Staff - experienced or fresh out of university - are needed for schools across the Towns.

Potential recruits are being invited to a teacher job fair this Friday at the Corn Exchange, Rochester High Street, from

1-3.30pm.

Among the exhibitors at the event will be primary, secondary and Special Educational Needs schools from the Medway area.

Social housing firm Moat Housing, the HSBC bank and representatives from the teaching unions will also be there.

There will also be presentations from Medway Council’s Induction Adviser Alan Stone and two newly-qualified teachers currently teaching in Medway schools
