A MOTORIST in his 70s had to be freed from his grey Chevrolet Tacuma car by firefighters after it overturned.

Police were called to the incident in Lingfield Road, Edenbridge, near Tonbridge, at about 12.50pm on Monday.

The man was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Redhill where his injuries were later described as "not serious".

No other vehicles were involved. Some damage was caused to the wall of a nearby house.
