This picture of devastation was taken at the Walderslade home of Lesley Jarvis and her family.

They were at home shortly before 7pm on Monday when the driver of a Mitsubishi Shogun smashed through their garden wall.

Mrs Jarvis, 52, said: “The driver had been doing handbrake turns around the roundabout at the junction with Princes Avenue.

"He apparently lost control and left the road straight into my garden wall.

"By the time we got outside, the driver had managed to reverse back over the broken wall and made off down the road.”

“This time no one was hurt, next time he might not be so lucky.

Anyone with information on the incident should call Medway police station 01634 891055.
