Donkey derby will go ahead

THE weather will not stop this year's donkey derby being a success.

Welling Round Table have invested in a huge dome to keep the events and activities rolling, even in the rain.

A fun fair, donkey races, games, arts and crafts and a prize giveaway will all be squeezed into this Monday bank holiday afternoon.

Gates open at 1pm at St Mary's Recreation Ground, Bourne Road, Bexley Village. The first race is at 2pm and gates will close around 5pm.

Beverages will be served in the beer tent and hours of music will fill your ears, admission is £1.

You can also purchase a souvenir programme for £1 and be in with a chance of winning a top of the range DVD player.
