Dartford clinched a place in the first round of the FA Cup with a victory over Leiston at Princes Park on Tuesday.

Victory sees them earn a meeting with League 2 side Port Vale next Saturday.

Goals from Danny Harris and Carl Rook put the Darts 2-0 up inside the first 25 minutes but Leiston hit back to make it 2-1 at the break.

Tom Bonner netted another for the Darts just past the hour but Leiston pulled another back just before full time through Leon Ottley-Gooch.

It was the first time Dartford have made it through to the first round stage of the competition since they were re-formed.

Darts boss Tony Burman said: "It’s another milestone hit and each year we continue to improve. It’s been a great achievement."
