BUSY SCHEDULE: Prince Andrew

THE Kent Messenger Group is among three businesses and a school in the county set to receive an official visit from Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.

A tour of the KM's headquarters in Larkfield is among the engagements the Prince will undertake as part of his trip to Kent on Tuesday, February 10.

The Duke will be making the visit in his capacity as a special representative on trade and investment.

The High Sheriff of Kent, Tony Monteuuis, and the Kent Messenger Group's chairman, Edwin Boorman, will greet the Duke at the newspaper group's New Hythe Lane offices. He will also meet Kent's new Chief Constable, Mike Fuller, and Tonbridge and Malling Mayor, Cllr Jill Anderson.

Earlier in the day he will open a new extension at Pluckley Primary School near Ashford, where he will be greeted by vice Lord Lieutenant, Viscount De L'Isle, and also meet the Mayor of Ashford, Cllr Bob Davidson, and Ashford council chief executive, David Hill.

Later in the afternoon, the Duke will visit Kings Hill, near West Malling, to see two businesses which have helped trade and investment in the county.

At Locate in Kent, he will meet Sir Alistair Hunter from the firm and representatives of other companies which have located in or helped promote the county as a place to trade. His final engagement will be at Aventis Pharma, also in Kings Hill.
