Concern grows for missing elderly woman from Pembury

AN 84-year-old woman in poor health who has not been seen in nearly a week is being sought anxiously by police and close friends.

Edna Nellie Way was last seen at about 1pm near her home in Chalklett Lane, Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, on Tuesday, September 20.

She is described as four feet tall, slim with a fair complexion, white hair and wearing dark coloured trousers and a white top. She has no immediate family.

West Kent Insp David Currie who is leading the search said: "If anyone has seen Edna I would ask them to get in touch with us straight away. We are concerned that she has been missing for this length of time without making contact with anyone."

Anyone with information about Edna Way is asked to call the police on 01732 370732 or contact their nearest police station.
