Car driver dies in crash near Brands Hatch

KENT Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash on the M20 in which a man died.

The tragedy happened at around 5.20am on Monday on the London-bound carriageway between junctions 2 and 1, near Brands Hatch.

Two vehicles were involved, one a foreign-registered lorry and the other a foreign-registered car. The man driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the car suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup.

The crash caused traffic delays across a wide area of north Kent.

Officers from Kent's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them.
