Boy, 12, flown to hospital after being knocked down by car in Rushenden

A 12-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car this morning.

The crash happened in Rushenden Road, Rushenden, on the Isle of Sheppey at 7.55am.

He was taken to King's College Hospital in London with suspected leg and pelvic injuries.

A Kent Police spokesman said his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
