A 10-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the death of a man on the A20 at the weekend.

Michael Baker, 47, from Littlehampton, West Sussex died after the recovery truck he was in collided with a lorry.

Police believe the lorry had stopped because a group of children were throwing stones at vehicles shortly before the two-car pile-up near the Swanley interchange at 10.40am on Saturday.

Mr Baker was in the truck following an earlier accident at junction four of the M25.

Detectives are appealing for information about the incident, in particular anyone who knows who was at the side of the road that day.

Sevenoaks district commander Ch Insp Adrian Futers said: "This weekend a family have lost a loved one, this is not the time for people to withhold information out of some sort of misguided loyalty."
