Appeal after alleyway sex attack

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following an allegation of a serious sexual assault on a 27-year-old woman.

The incident occurred in the Longhill Avenue alleyway that leads to Chatham Hill, Chatham.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in Longhill Avenue between 2am and 5am on Friday, August 11.

In particular they want to hear from two males who were walking up Chatham Hill and motorists who may have seen the 27-year-old woman running across Chatham Hill towards Luton.

Officers are want to speak to anyone who may have seen people acting suspiciously, witnessed the assault or saw a male running in Longhill Avenue towards the Great Lines.

The suspect is described as being a white male in his early 30s with short, dark hair. He was wearing a dark top and stone wash jeans.
