Gillingham are unlikely to make any additional signings before the loan window closes according to manager Andy Hessenthaler.

Clubs will be unable to trade players on the loan market once the deadline passes on Thursday, but the Gills are unlikely to be bringing in any new faces.

Asked if he was likely to be adding any new players, boss Hessenthaler said: "Probably not, I don't think so.

"We have had a lot of injuries but they are coming back and it is very unlikely (we will sign anyone)."

And it is also unlikely any of the club's senior players will leave.

"I have had no calls from any clubs for our players," insisted the Gills boss (pictured).

And he dismissed any rumours linking him with Wimbledon's Jamie Stuart.

"I don't know where that has come from," he said. "He is good friends with Danny Kedwell but I have made no contact with Wimbledon over Jamie Stuart."
