BUSINESS people, retailers, residents, shoppers and workers, who have a commercial or personal interest in the future in the heart and lifeblood of the town, are being urged to join one of the Ashford Town Centre Partnership's working groups.

Mayor-elect Cllr Michael Claughton said: "The working groups, which look at improving the environment, marketing, transport and security, already have local business people, councillors and residents, but a wider mix of users is required to give a fuller picture."

The partnership offers the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the future of the town centre for the benefit of all. "The views of shoppers and workers, both local and commuters, would in particular be very valuable," said Cllr Claughton.
