Design company scores business hat-trick

A DESIGN company is celebrating a treble triumph after appearing in the nation's top 100 for the third year running.

Impact Image Management Group, based in Farleigh Works, East Farleigh, near Maidstone, has made it three in a row after its latest appearance in the Design Week annual survey of who's who in the industry.

Impact has improved its position every year, going up the 2004 list to 73rd, 12 places above last year's ranking. In the printing sector, Impact has gone up two places to 17th.

The company, founded in 1988 and based in a Grade II listed waterworks, offers advertising, design, e-marketing and exhibition services. It has creative, new media and client services departments.

Daniel Kennedy, Impact's business development manager, said: "When you consider the talent and size of some of the companies listed within this chart, especially the big London design houses, featuring alone is a tremendous achievement, let alone a year on year increase."

He added that the company had been working extensively with new clients and completed a number of exciting projects.

"Occasionally, we win our clients awards and recognition, so although we don't actively pursue awards or rankings against our peers, I'd be lying if I said that we're not pleased that our work and achievement is being recognised."

He put Impact's success down to the flexibility and efficiency that a small company can offer, as well as a wide range of services and good quality account management.

"Get these right and you have happy clients, great work, a good reputation and the occasional recognition from a national design publication."
