Centenary is the finishing touch

A ROCHESTER paint distributor is to have a facelift as part of its supplier's centenary celebrations. CW Sales, Maritime Close, Strood, will be renamed Morrells Woodfinishes.

Morrells, founded by Frank Thomas Morrell, a French polish manufacturer in London in 1902, makes lacquers, stains and waxes. After a century under the Morrells banner, the firm is adopting Morrells Woodfinishes across all departments and the 14 distribution bases, including Medway.

Graham Morrell, operations director, said: "We are thrilled to be celebrating 100 years as a business. Many companies fail to make even the 50-year mark. We hope the simplification of the name will make life simpler for all our customers and our staff. The new system will bring everyone under one roof. It will also make us more recognisable as a single operation in the UK."
