Midfielder back in the Fleet equation

ABOUT-TURN: Mark DeBolla
ABOUT-TURN: Mark DeBolla

MIDFIELDER Mark Debolla has done a u-turn and wants to re-sign for Ebbsfleet United – but there may not be enough funds to bring him back.

DeBolla, 24, initially refused the offer of a new contract when manager Liam Daish announced his retained list in May.

The former Charlton and Aston Villa man now wants to remain at Stonebridge Road and, although Daish would like DeBolla in the squad, he said it might not be possible.

Daish said: "Mark had a contract offer, and turned it down, hence I signed Neil Barrett. Now it's a question of trying to accommodate him within our budget.

"I've got to get the priorities right for the team, and at the moment we need forwards. It will be no good being overloaded with midfielders, and having no forwards."
