A MOTORIST who died in hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the A2 earlier this month has been named by Kent Police.

He was 58-year-old Terrence Foster who lived at Station Road at Crayford.

Mr Foster was driving on the coast-bound carriageway at Cobham, near Gravesend, at about 4.15am on Saturday, February 4, when his car crossed the central reservation and collided with a taxi travelling towards London.

He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital at Dartford but later died from his injuries. The taxi driver escaped with minor injuries.

North Kent Police still want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. They are asked to contact PC Guy Miller on 01622 798538.
