Missing man found and charged with rape

A 19-year-old man with Gravesend connections, who was wanted by detectives in Rochdale for skipping bail has been arrested and charged with rape.

Jack Herring, of no fixed abode, was charged with rape on Wednesday, November 12.

He was arrested in April and was due to answer his bail on 27 June 2008 when he went missing.

An appeal was put out in north Kent as he was thought to have connections in the area.

He is due to appear at Rochdale Magistrates Court on Friday, November 21.
