Man taken to hospital after ladder fall outside Coral bookmakers in Gravesend town centre

A man has been taken to hospital after falling from a ladder in Gravesend town centre today.

The man - said to have been changing a light bulb - fell 10 steps from the ladder outside Coral betting shop in King Street late this morning.

Believed to be about 40-years-old, he was fitted with a neck brace and put on a wheeled stretcher.

Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and the air ambulance treated the man at the scene before taking him to Kings College Hospital in London.

He suffered facial injuries and other suspected injuries.
