Liam Daish is calling on Ebbsfleet fans to raise the volume at Stonebridge Road and shout their team to victory against Blue Square Bet Premier play-off contenders Southport on Saturday.

The Lancashire side arrive boasting the best away record in the league apart from leaders Fleetwood and the Fleet boss wants supporters to do their bit.

Daish (pictured) said: "Southport are doing well, so we must use our home advantage in a real way and need a vociferous crowd right behind us.

"Our fans can be a little bit quiet at times, that’s not a criticism but we want them to make a lot of noise. The players deserve it because they have been magnificent this season.

FA Trophy winner Lance Cronin will get a warm welcome back at Stonebridge Road after rejoining the club on a month’s loan from Bristol Rovers as a short-term replacement for suspended keeper Preston Edwards.

Cronin had a return to forget as Fleet were humbled 6-2 at Fleetwood on Tuesday.

The Southport game kicks off at 2pm on Saturday as the floodlights at Stonebridge Road are out of action following damage to cables.
