Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish remains on the hunt for more firepower to compete with Calum Willock and Scott Ginty.

Both forwards netted a goal apiece as the Fleet opened their pre-season schedule last week but Daish (pictured) still wants additional options in attack.

Willock scored the Fleet’s goal on Saturday as they pushed a strong Gillingham side all the way in a 2-1 defeat at Stonebridge Road on Saturday, adding to Ginty’s strike at Aveley last Tuesday.

"Calum played well and it’s always good for your strikers to get among the goals," said Daish.

"(He and Scott) have scored one each now and they are up and running. We still need to sign one or possibly two more strikers, though, but I’m hopeful Calum will cause opposition teams problems next season."

Prior to the Gillingham match, Daish had 11 players signed up for the new campaign and is expecting more to agree terms before the club travel to Ramsgate on Saturday.

He said: "Hopefully we’ll have a few more boys in. We’re taking our time and making sure we pick the right ones."
