Police want to know why distressed young girl turned up at police station in Gravesend

Police are trying to piece together where a young girl had been before she arrived at a Kent police station.

The teenager turned up at Gravesend police station just after 7pm on Tuesday night in a distressed state. She was wearing red jeans, a black-hooded coat and black and white trainers and is described as black.

It's thought she had asked a number of people for directions and police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or spoken to her.

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the girl walking or those who spoke to her."
