A father and son have entered a competition to perform the best rap and raise £10,000 for a charity that helped look after their son and brother who died of cancer.

Tony Saunders , 44, and Charlie, 6, entered FindaProperty.com’s Rap for a Cause competition in memory of their son and brother Oscar.

Oscar was just three months shy of his third birthday when he died in July 2011 after a gruelling 18-month battle with cancer.

The Saunders family have thrown themselves into fund-raising for chYps, which is part of the EllenorLions Hospice, the Messenger’s charity of the year, and cares for children and young people.

Now the talented rappers - aka Divvy Dad and Charlie chYps - are hopeful their lyrics will attract the most 'likes’ n Facebook and win the £10,000 prize to help other seriously ill children and their families.

Tony, from Dartford, said: “Our chYps nurse visited weekly and always made a fuss over Oscar.

“He was one hell of a kid - a little fighter with big spirit.

“Charlie and I wanted to record the rap to help win money for chYps.

“We had great fun recording it with the help of a monkey puppet, and Charlie loved wearing his cool shades.”
