STUART MYALL: sealed victory for the visitors

GOALS from Paul Jones and Stuart Myall gave Folkestone a comfortable Kent Senior Cup victory in Tuesday night’s first round tie at the Longmead Stadium.

Jones opened the scoring after 26 minutes with an untidy goal when he smashed the ball into the net from close range after an error by goalkeeper Jerome John.

Myall sealed the victory after 58 minutes when he slotted the ball home when Micheal Everitt played a low through ball to him in a good passing move started by captain Scott Lindsey.

Invicta welcomed defender Kevin Watson back into the starting line-up in place of the unwell Steve Norman.

It was a night in which Invicta goalkeeper Tony Kessell did not have to make a noteworthy save.

Tonbridge were reduced to ten men after 76 minutes when Jay May received a straight red card for an elbow on Guest.
