A woman fell to her death from the top of the car park at a Kent shopping centre on Friday.

Police sealed off the site at Bouverie Place shopping centre in Folkestone.

Witnesses say she fell at about 11.10am, from the highest point of the building.

The woman had been spotted on the roof and police were on the scene moving the public away.

Eyewitness Reg Byatt said: “I was just being ushered across the road by police, they said there was someone up there.

“There was a woman sitting on the top.

“Then there was a crash. I’m still shaking now.”

Another witness said he was sure the woman was going to fall when he saw her inching towards the edge.

Mahesh Gurung said: “She fell slowly at first, then I heard this scream."

Police are no longer at the scene and have confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances.
