Deal's poor start to the Kent League season continued as they slipped to their second successive 3-0 home defeat on Saturday.

However, Deal were the better side early on and were unlucky when Aaron Robinson hit the woodwork while Danny Smith should have been awarded a penalty after he was fouled in the box by Josh Maasbach.

But Smith was then sent off in the 19th minute for retaliation after he had been tripped by Dane Luchford, and Faversham then gradually made their extra man count to secure victory with goals from Dave Soutan (2) and Damian Abel.
