Derek Hares sends his team out against Greenwich Borough in the Safety Net Kent League Premier Division on Saturday desperate for a victory.

The Deal boss has seen his side concede 10 goals in two successive defeats at Erith & Belvedere and Holmesdale and admitted: "We need a couple of wins, otherwise we could get into a rut which could be difficult to get out of.

"The actual performance at Erith was a lot better. It was a good game which they gave us credit for being a part of.

"They have got Ross Cable and Marcus Cassius there, and we probably played them a week too late. Cassius was the difference between the sides, had he been playing for us we would have won."

He added: "I can’t be pleased to concede four goals, but our back four individually all played well and we played some good stuff at times.

Hares was checking on the fitness of striker Mo Takaloo at training last night (Wednesday) after hoping he would return at the weekend.

He had completed a three-game suspension, but has been struggling with a knee injury. Shane Suter is available again after a trip abroad for a family wedding and Jack Collins is back after a one game ban.

Hares added: "Greenwich are always a tough side to beat, but have lost their last two games as well."
