Deal Town manager Derek Hares will ring the changes again for Saturday’s home friendly with Ramsgate.

Hares used 18 players during last Sunday’s 3-1 home defeat by Needham Market, including three youngsters from the Deal Town Academy, and Saturday’s team will also contain some more faces who are unfamiliar to Town supporters.

Hares said: "The three Academy lads, Robbie Egan, Glen Johnson and Roddy Hayward, all did well when they came on in the second half and I will be having a look at a few more trialists this weekend."

Deal led 1-0 at half-time against Needham Market after Aaron Robinson finished off a neat move involving new signing Jason Brazier but Needham Market, FA Vase quarter-finalists last season, showed their quality with three goals in the final 15 minutes.

Hares added: "I was pleased with what I saw in the first half and had I kept the same side for the second half I don’t think we would have lost.

"I made seven changes in the second half which disrupted things a bit but results aren’t important at this stage, it’s all about having a look at players."

Leon Ingram, Jason Gilmore, Dave Bathgate and Jack Collins will all be involved against Ramsgate after being unavailable last Sunday but another of Hares’ new signings, Jake Eastwood, is likely to be sidelined by the groin strain.
