Two men, aged 17 and 20, released on bail after early morning stabbing in Deal

Two men arrested on suspicion of assault after a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds have been released on bail.

The males, aged 17 and 20, have been released until April 4 while police make further inquires.

The incident happened at about 3am on Saturday, in Deal’s St George’s Road at the junction with West Street.

The police were alerted by the ambulance service who were already treating the man in his 20s.

He was taken to Kings College in London with non-life threatening injuries and expected to have been discharged yesterday afternoon.

A police spokesman said: “Two males aged 17 and 20 from Deal have been released on bail until April 4, while officers make further inquiries.

“Anyone who witnessed what happened are asked to contact Det Sgt Stuart Ward on 101 quoting incident number 24-159.”
