Woman cut free from vehicle

A woman has had to be cut free from her vehicle following a crash in north Kent this morning.

The air ambulance was called to the scene in London Road near Swanley at 6.57am.]

Pumps from fire stations in Dartford, Orpington and Swanley also attended.

The woman, thought to be in her 40s, was driving a two seater Suzuki van and had to be freed by firefighters.

No other vehicles were involved but police closed the road, just off the M25, in both directions following the incident.

The road was still closed at 8am this morning.

It is understood the woman was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
