Woman charged with string of offences after shoplifting incident in Dartford

Seven charges have been made against a woman after police were called to a shoplifting incident in Dartford.

The suspect is reported to have assaulted a shop worker after attempting to leave a supermarket in Priory Market Place with a bottle of wine without paying on Sunday afternoon.

When confronted, the bottle is said to have been deliberately damaged.

Dina Cuyela was arrested by police officers and, upon being spoken to, is reported to have assaulted a police constable and community support officer.

She is also alleged to have damaged a police van and been found in possession of a knife.

The 33-year-old, of Eynsham Drive, Abbey Wood, has been charged with common assault, two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, two counts of criminal damage, possessing a knife in a public place and theft.

She has been bailed to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday June 9.
